I saw that a land base needed repairing so I went ahead and do it without really looking at it. It costed me $2,723 (I think) to repair it.

I would have been better off selling it then establishing a fresh base. This was land base 3355 on Einio.

Sometimes it's cheaper to replace something than to repair it, especially if the damage is extensive.
So, you can either pay the higher cost to retain the existing base, or you can sell it, purchase a new one, and take the one day penalty for building new trucks.
